A nice trick is to use Automatic Sizing while in one of the image map
panels and then read the values for size and center that are carried over
when you select the Grid texture.
It's then an easy manner to determine your falloff. If the the center of
the texture reads in the middle of the surface (and it will) you will
want to offset the Y Texture Center value by +/- 1/2 the Y texture Size
and use an appropriate falloff (1\Y SIze as mentioned) in order to
falloff from top to bottom or vice versa. Repeat process for other Values
to go front to back or side to side...
