  29. A nice trick is to use Automatic Sizing while in one of the image map 
  30. panels and then read the values for size and center that are carried over 
  31. when you select the Grid texture.

  33. It's then an easy manner to determine your falloff. If the the center of 
  34. the texture reads in the middle of the surface (and it will) you will 
  35. want to offset the Y Texture Center value by +/- 1/2 the Y texture Size 
  36. and use an appropriate falloff (1\Y SIze as mentioned) in order to 
  37. falloff from top to bottom or vice versa. Repeat process for other Values 
  38. to go front to back or side to side...
